Synopsis:
“Praise HA!” is a short documentary exploring laughter and it’s healing effects. This is illustrated through peoples’ personal accounts of how laughter has provided a healthy mental state and good morale. Through their tales, we learn how laughter supports healing during life’s hardships including illness, stress, and death. In “Praise HA!”, we follow humor movements and laughter experts, including clown/activist Wavy Gravy’s troupe The Phurst Church of Phun, the international phenomena of Laughter Clubs, as well as the celebrated Dr. Patch Adams’ clowning in homes and institutions, using laughter and humor to lighten up dire and intense medical situations.

The film dissects a universal truth regarding what it is to be human. Laughter does not discriminate; it doesn't matter what one’s race, color or age is. People of all backgrounds are illustrated as they come together to share this bliss.

“Praise HA!” was created from over 60 hours of footage of various movements and interviewees. A dynamic human-interest film is presented that will move, touch and inspire.
