Eager to escape the suffocating atmosphere of post-war Holland, three Dutch beauties—one a Holocaust survivor—meet on KLM’s 1953 immigration flight to New Zealand, en route to join their fiancés. During the flight, they befriend a young man; over the years their paths continue to cross, resulting in adultery, betrayal and near tragedy.
