Aaron is 11 years old, the leader of his circle of friends, and studying for his Bar Mitzvah–but for the past three years he has stopped growing. While Israel is preparing for the Six Day War in 1967, his friends are already teenagers, and he remains in the body of a child.

Aaron struggles to overcome his domineering mother, anti-intellectual father, his diminutive stature, and a body that won’t mature to match his mind. Israeli director Nir Bergman won the top prize at the Tokyo International Film Festival for Intimate Grammar, based on a book of the same name by Israeli novelist David Grossman.
