She was supervising producer for NBC’s Live from New York: The First Five Years of Saturday Night Live. Making Trouble marks her directing debut.

A dramatic story of four young girls who were adopted in Brazil by Israeli families in the 1980`s. Now grown, the women return to Brazil to search for their birth mothers.
In person: Director Nili Tal
Nili Tal was born in Tel Aviv, and still resides in Israel. She is a journalist, documentary film director, and producer. Many of her works have appeared on Israeli TV, and at the Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem. Her film, Women for Sale, was shown at AJFF in 2006.

Silver Jew is an intimate portrait of reclusive poet/musician David Berman, the guiding force behind one of indie rock's most revered bands, the Silver Jews. In the midst of their first ever world tour, Berman and the rest of the group traveled to Israel to play in Tel Aviv and visit Jerusalem – events that helped connect him to his faith.

Matthew Robison lives in Nashville and is friendly with musician/songwriter, David Berman. Before Silver Jews embarked its first ever world tour, David mentioned to Matthew that he wanted the Israeli portion of the trip documented, as he had recently embraced Judaism and felt it would be a special occasion. Matthew saw the opportunity.
No tickets are necessary to attend the Schusterman Center for Jewish Studies screenings at Garrison Hall on the UT Campus or at Hillel-Texas. Be aware that seating is limited and first come first served.
